Fall Events

Part-Time Job Fair
The Part-Time Job Fair brings together students who are looking for part-time jobs with local employers who offer part-time/seasonal employment on the Pitt State campus and in the local Pittsburg area.
Date: Tuesday, August 19, 2025

Location: Overman Student Center Ballrooms
Cost: Free to students and employers

Meet the Firms Day
Meet the Firms Day is a networking event that targets students in the following areas of academic study:
- Accounting;
- Data Science and Information System;
- Business Economics;
- Finance;
- Fraud Examination (minor); and
- Internal Audit (minor)
Candidates are seeking full-time and internship opportunities.

Majors Fair
This event is co-hosted with the First Year Programs office, and designed for students to explore the available majors, minors, and certificate programs that PSU has to offer!
Representatives from every academic department on campus will be available to answer any questions you have about their programs, and majors and minors. This event will be held in Axe Library.

College of Technology Company Days
The PSU College of Technology will be hosting the annual Company Days event on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 23-24, 2025 at the Crossland Technology Center.
Tuesday, September 23, 2025 with a focus on:
- Construction Management/Construction Engineering Technology
- 2-yr Electrical Technology
- Environmental and Safety Management
- Wood Product Manufacturing
- Graphic Communications
Wednesday, September 24, 2025 with a focus on:
- Plastics Engineering Technology
- Automotive Technology, Diesel & Heavy Equipment

Student Etiquette Dinner
Professional development is critical for students’ future success. Training in areas such as etiquette and professionalism are no longer just considered an advantage, but a requirement for today’s competitive job market. Attendees of the Student Etiquette Dinner will learn about professional, interviewing and dining etiquette while enjoying dinner.
Date: Wednesday, February 25, 2026
Time: 5:30 – 7:00 PM. Check-in 5:00 – 5:30 PM. Presentation will begin promptly at 5:30 PM.

Fall Career Fair is an in-person, career fair event open to students from all majors and classifications. Students network with employers and learn more about opportunities available in their field of interest.
This fair targets experiential learning opportunities from summer employment at camps to internships and full-time professional positions.

Education Fair is a career-fair style, networking event for education majors and those in a teaching-related field. School districts attend this event to meet and network with students about job opportunities in their districts.

Criminal Justice Fair is a networking mixer for criminal justice majors, minors and those students interested in the field including law enforcement, corrections, and legal proceedings.

Nurse Career Day
Nurse Career Day is a recruiting day for nursing majors with two types of way to engage with hospitals, clinics and other healthcare organizations.

Teacher Interview Day
Teacher Interview Day is for education majors and those in a teaching-related field. School districts from several states attend this event, and students and alumni sign-up for professional interviews to meet with these employers.
