Salary negotiations can be an intimidating process. It is important to approach the conversation armed with information and confidence. It is also important to have realistic expectations based on facts. Resources like the Occupational Outlook Handbook and O*Net Online will show you the average salary for people in your field. The most current Employment Data Report compiled by the Office of Career Development will show you what your fellow PSU graduates are making as they enter the workforce.

You should also consider using a salary calculator, like the Job Seekers Salary Calculator, to determine the salary of other individuals with similar levels of education and experience.

You can also meet with one of our staff for coaching through this process, by making an appointment through Navigate.
