Job Summary
The Life Enrichment Manager is directly responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, conducting and evaluation of programs for the residents at Village Shalom on both and individual and group basis that meets/exceeds all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Life Enrichment Manager is responsible for the day to day supervision and oversight of the program staff and program department. This position maintains the established standards of performance, service, hospitality, cleanliness, and safety at all times in order to maximize resident satisfaction.

- Capable of working directly with the elderly in the area of leisure programs
- Relates well with senior citizens
- Works independently
- Ability to assess residents capabilities, limitations, and special needs
- Has good written and oral communication skills – reads, speaks and writes English
- Has good interpersonal skills including teamwork and group dynamics
- Has positive attitude, patience and ability to motivate
Qualifications
- Be certified as an Activity Director by the state of KS or by other approved certification authority, or
- Have a University degree in Recreation Studies or Social Services, or
- 2 years experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, one of which was fulltime in a resident/patient program in a health care setting preferred , or
- Meet the criteria set by the state of Kansas for an Activity Director.
- CPR certification preferred

Pay rate: Based on experience
