POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Development Representative supports Carey’s investment in the travel advisor (TA) and travel management company (TMC) channel. This is a front-line prospecting and re-engagement role: the incumbent identifies, qualifies, and opens doors with travel agencies, advisor networks, consortia members, and TMCs, covering both new prospects and lapsed accounts Carey is working to win back. The role works closely with the Head of Travel and the TA/TMC Account Management team, feeding a qualified pipeline that they convert into active, revenue-producing partnerships. It suits an early-career sales professional who wants to learn the luxury travel industry from the inside, with clear visibility into how deals move from first touch to booked revenue.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect and qualify new travel advisor, agency, and TMC accounts through outbound email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Re-engage lapsed and declining accounts using Carey’s account prioritization framework, working from a structured outreach tracker.
- Research consortia member lists (for example, Signature Travel Network, Ensemble, TravelSavers) and industry announcements to identify new agencies and advisors to welcome and onboard.
- Execute structured outreach campaigns, including new-member welcomes, post-webinar and post-event follow-ups, and promotion-driven touches, with personalized, relationship-first messaging.
- Book discovery and re-engagement meetings for the Head of Travel and Account Managers, and prepare briefing notes ahead of each call.
- Maintain clean, current records in HubSpot: contacts, activity logs, account ownership, and pipeline stages.
- Represent Carey at industry webinars, consortia events, and trade shows as needed.
- Track and report on outreach activity, response rates, meetings booked, and accounts reactivated.
