Summary/Objective
- The Molding Technician works with team members to ensure quality and production standards are met or exceeded.
- They must be detail oriented, focused and goal driven.
- The Molding Technician is someone who can solve problems on machine equipment and complete all production goals in a timely fashion.
Essential Functions

- Process, troubleshoot, and document all quality and maintenance issues.
- Complete daily maintenance checklist.
- Complete daily mold PMs and part zone sanitation.
- Fabricate and maintain part containment.
- Maintain 5S and housekeeping.
- Ensure colorant and resin raw materials are kept at adequate levels.
- Complete assigned/scheduled tasks- mold change, color change, machine startup, etc. by following respective policies and procedures.
- All special tasks assigned by Lead or Management.
- Follow all GMP/HACCP Food Safety Procedures.

Work Environment
- This position works in a production setting.
- This role routinely uses standard equipment such as molding presses, cranes and hoist, lining machines, fork trucks, hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2 years of experience setting up, starting, and processing injection molding machines.
- Operational knowledge of scientific decoupled injection molding process.
