The Technical Hotline Case Analyst team is responsible for using their critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide technically accurate and professionally communicated recommendations to the Dealer Technicians to help get vehicles fixed right the first time. Our teams are integrated with Product Development, Marketing, Manufacturing and Quality.
The Service Engineering & Operations (SE&O) Technical Hotline team is responsible for developing and delivering technical support, guidance, and repair plan information to support dealerships and customers in a timely manner.
The ideal intern candidate will possess technical acumen and the ability to provide a strong level of customer service. To be successful in this role, you must have a customer-first approach, tackle challenges with a flexible and continuous improvement mindset.
Responsibilities
What you’ll do…
Our internship program provides a solid foundation in technical troubleshooting and skill development. Interns can expect to experience the following during their time in the program:
- To learn, develop, and apply skill competencies specific to a Case Analyst including technical acumen and participate in shadowing team members
- To understand the Ford Operating System (OS) of collaboration, focus, and excellence and how it applies to the Case Analyst role
- Introduction to the Electrical and Electronics Class by completing Web Modules and Classroom Training
- To learn How to Create an Amazing Customer Experience
- To understand the role of the Case Analyst by
- Exposure to Ford and Service Engineering & Operations Departments
These skills will give candidates a view into how Ford Motor Company manages dealer technical service requests and escalations for assistance and support and contribute toward continuous improvement of our process. Interns will interact with dealer technicians, dealer management, Ford Engineering, and Field Service Engineers (FSEs).

Working toward completion of a bachelor’s degree in the following majors: Automotive Engineering, Advanced Vehicle Systems, Analytics, Automotive Industry Management, or Automotive Technology Management.

0-3 years of relevant full-time work experience
- Must have a valid and unrestricted drivers’ license.
- Must be available for full time work by September 2028
- Must be willing to relocate to Southeast Michigan for the duration of the summer internship.
- Must be willing to relocate to Southeast Michigan in the future for full time employment after graduation.

This position ranges from $3,500-8,300 monthly.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate’s skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
